This hand made stained glass iris is available in 3 colour variations and is made from individually selected glass and has been affectionately made using the copper foil technique ( similar to the Tiffany light shades)

Please note that each Iris is unique and the glass may differ slightly in colour and design/pattern/ shade for each piece. Each item has the glass selected, cut and then foiled and soldered. Your Iris is finally cleaned and polished ready for sending to you.

The dimensions of the iris (as displayed) are approx. 8cm wide by 16cm long at their widest points.

Each item comes with jute string for hanging. (Please let us know in the notes section of your order if you would prefer a similar coloured ribbon)

The iris means different things to different people and cultures. Some of its most common meanings are

-Royalty, Faith, Wisdom, Hope, and Valour

While any iris symbolises royalty, wisdom and valour, the colour of the bloom also affects the message the flower carries.

• Purple – The traditional meaning of purple irises is royalty, but that isn’t its only meaning. Purple can also represent wisdom, respect and compliments.
• Yellow – Yellow irises symbolise passion.
• White – White irises express purity and innocence.
